"Bought a washer and dryer this past summer. When they were installed, the cold water shutoff valve was leaking after the install. I tried to call the store to get help, but after multiple calls, I was only able to speak with an overseas customer rep. I spoke with 2, both were very difficult to understand, and were not able to help getting anyone out to my house to look at the problem. I went to the store where I was able to speak with the sales person I had worked with when purchasing, but he was only able to tell me someone would call the next day. Was never able to speak with a manager, but was given a manager's card. Meanwhile, I've got a leaking shutoff valve. After going home from the store, I had to move the dryer to close the shutoff valve. When moving the dryer, the dryer venting fell off where it connected to the vent leading out of the house. There was no clamp or tape utilized to connect it. The following day, someone did call, I told them about the dryer vent failure, along with the leaking shutoff valve. The only thing they offered was to have the same installers come out to look at it. Why would I have the same installers come out that did a very poor job the first time? I ended up fixing the vent and shutoff valve myself. What would someone do if they did not know how to repair it on their own? Best Buy doesn't seem to be able to provide quality installers. I did email the store manager, as they did not return my calls, about my experience. I never received an email reply. I will not shop at or recommend Best Buy in the future."

"Specialized woodworking, wood crafting, and craftsman supplies & tools are the specialty of Woodcraft of Columbus. It is also possible to find some great specialty woods at this retailer, and that is exactly what I came to search out. I was not disappointed.\n\nThe staff are passionate about the craft, knowledgeable, and able to answer questions from the simple to the more complex. This is not simply a "hardware" store, but is instead a woodcrafting specialty retailer. Columbus is quite fortunate to have a specialty store such as this accessible for the woodcrafting community."
I noticed BOSCH 1617EVS is a recommended router with quite positive reviews, and I'm thinking to buy this as my first router. I plan to make a router table and mount the router. A question I have is, to mount the router seems an insert plate must be installed and it can't be made from home.

Good evening! Due to a misfortune drop to the concrete, my trusty 30 year old Craftsman fixed based router needs to be replaced. I have narrowed it down to the Dewalt and the Bosch routers. Additionally, I will be purchasing a PORTER-CABLE Dovetail Jig with Mini Template Kit (4216). I want to...
Love my Bosch 1617s. You might want to get a couple of small items you'll likely use later, including the Bosch RA1126 Quick Change Template Guide Adapter, Bosch RA1100 Threaded Router Template Guide Adapter, both of which are needed to use template guide bushings made for the Porter Cable.
So anyways, when I opened up my new Bosch 1617 router and attempted to tighten a bit into the collet, I was a little perplexed... I have a brand new Bosch 85294M 1/4" shank roundover bit, and I can't get it to tighten in my new router.

Bosch 1617 in Porter Cable 690 Plunge Base I used my Bosch 1617 magnesium cased router in a PC 690 Series plung base for several years and it worked great. (That was prior to Bosch's marketing their own plunge base.)
Bosch does make track - I own a Bosch track saw - and supposedly there are adapters both for the Bosch jigsaw and the Bosch router (s) to run alongside/on this track.
Hello - Brand new to routing. I bought the above router kit and built a simple table for it. This particular router has a trigger in the handle that you squeeze for power instead of a simple on/off toggle. Does anyone have experience using this in a table? If so, how did you set it up? I called Bosch and they suggested putting a zip tie on the ...
