The final race of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season came down to the wire at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday in Avondale, Arizona with Kyle Larson outlasting Denny Hamlin to win the championship.

Kyle Larson, 33, outdueled Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe and William Byron to win his second title following his 2021 championship.

Kyle Larson captured his second NASCAR Cup Series championship, finishing third on an overtime restart at Phoenix Raceway. Denny Hamlin, who was trying to punctuate his 20th NASCAR Cup Series season with the first championship of his career, finished sixth after leading a race-high 208 of 312 laps.

William Byron's late-race incident triggered the caution that transformed the championship battle and left Denny Hamlin wondering if he's cursed.
