The Oklahoma City Thunder picked up right where they left off after a three-month offseason. They blew out the Charlotte Hornets in a 135-114 preseason win to open up their run of exhibitions. Just like that, the NBA champions are back.

During the 2018 NBA Draft, the Hornets traded the No. 11 overall pick to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for the 12th pick and two second-round selections. The 11th pick became Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, while the Hornets drafted Miles Bridges, Vernon Carey Jr. and Scottie Lewis.
